LGBT people

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people are often stigmatised with limited access to health care. As a result, they are disproportionally affected by HIV and AIDS. Communities of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people exist in every country around the world, whether they are easily visible or not. In many places, they are engaged in a struggle to secure basic human rights and access to healthcare. Members of LGBT communities often face extreme stigma, discrimination, and violence at the individual, community, and structural level. Not only does this result in human rights violations against LGBT people, it also impedes their access to live-saving HIV services.
