We are delighted to announce the successful completion of a virtual Questions and Answers session on our new call for proposals: “Bringing Kids Living with HIV to Care” in Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, and Indonesia/West Papua, held last Tuesday, August 1st, 2023. Have you missed the session? No need to worry, as we have compiled a FAQ from the session, addressing common queries and technical details that are available for download.

Highlights from the Q&A Session

The session was organised by Aidsfonds’ Paediatric HIV team and captured active participation from nearly 100 attendees representing diverse countries. During the session, we introduced Aidsfonds’ mission and aspirations to eliminate AIDS by 2030. One of the key highlights was the presentation of the “Kids to Care” model, a highly effective community-based approach for paediatric HIV prevention and care. The team explained the model’s goals, steps, components, and the crucial role of community health workers in the model to strengthenĀ the link between communities and the health facilities. Additionally, the session covered the essential elements of the new call for proposal and the eligibility criteria for organisations interested in applying. This was followed by an open discussion for all participants to ask their questions about the call for proposal.

About the New Call for Proposal

Building on the successful implementation of the Aidsfonds Kids to Care model in five African countries, we are thrilled to extend this impactful model to Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Indonesia/West Papua. The call for proposals aims to support 3 to 4 applications from Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, and Indonesia. For Indonesia, proposals focused on the highest HIV-prevalence districts within the West Papua province will be considered.

We strongly invite community-based organisations and local non-governmental organisations from the mentioned countries to apply for this opportunity: download detailed information regarding the requirements and application process.
