Securing a future for children living with HIV – The Aidsfonds Paediatric HIV programme

The Aidsfonds Paediatric HIV programme started in 2015 and is working towards “All Children aged 0-14 years living with HIV will have known status, stay in care and on antiretroviral therapy, and have achieved viral suppression and a good quality of life.“ This document shows a clear picture of the programme and Theory of Change, makes links to other paediatric (online) factsheets, toolkits and best practice documents, and provides insight in our current data.

Documentation Community Learning as part of the Breakthrough Partnership pilot project: Cameroon

This concise report presents the lessons learned by community partners during the four-month pilot phase of the Paediatric Breakthrough partnership in Cameroon. A separate report is available for Tanzania. The aim is to develop a care package for the two-year proposal and the overall Breakthrough plan with partners in these two countries. Specifically, Aidsfonds want to document learning about the interventions for communities in addressing paediatric HIV and what this means for the coming two years.

Documentation of Community Learning in the Breakthrough Partnership Pilot Project: Tanzania

This short report documents the community partner learnings from Action for Community Care Tanzania from a four-month pilot phase of implementing the Paediatric Breakthrough partnership in Tanzania. There is a separate report for Cameroon. The plan is to develop a package of care for the two-year proposal and comprehensive Breakthrough plan across partners in these two countries.

Aidsfonds Paediatric HIV Theory of Change

The Theory of Change focuses on the significant number of children with HIV who are underserved: children who may have never been diagnosed, or who have been lost to follow-up and no longer receive HIV treatment. Aidsfonds’ role is to advocate for more funding for paediatric HIV; to fund community-based organisations for service delivery and advocacy; and to invest in paediatric HIV linking and learning.
