Jonathan has been working as a VHT for eight years in Uganda. VHT stands for Village Health Team, it is someone who has been identified in the village and trained to coordinate basic health programs including AIDS. They move from door to door to find children exposed to HIV and they actively link community members with health facilities to support these children. Watch the video:

Aidsfonds announces new partnership with Dutch Embassy in Mozambique

Aidsfonds is initiating a partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Maputo, Mozambique. This collaboration represents a significant investment by the Dutch government in the global HIV response. Aidsfonds, awarded €15 million for the period 2026-2030, is proud to be one of the partners within the Embassy's regional HIV instrument. Through this policy framework, the Netherlands continues to build on its international leadership in the field of HIV and AIDS. As an organisation, we apply the knowledge and experience gained through Dutch HIV programmes abroad and from our work within the Netherlands.
