Support for research chair ‘First-line treatment for STIs’

On 1 December 2011, the Research Chair of First-line treatment for HIV and STIs was established at the University of Amsterdam. It offers an opportunity to prioritise first-line treatment of STIs. Dr. Jan van Bergen, programme manager for Soa Aids Nederland, was named Professor by Special Appointment of this research chair. The chair role not only offers new opportunities, it also involves more work. This grant will be used to fund casual staffing requirements.
