Marking 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence? Share your activities!

Once again, individuals and organisations around the world will stand up against violence during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence (GBV) (25 November-10 December).

This year’s theme, “Orange the World: Generation Equality Stands against Rape!”, speaks strongly to the impact of sexual violence on HIV prevention, and we invite partners to share stories of their national activities.

Last year, PITCH partners mobilised action through community debates, marches and more to raise awareness of the linkages between GBV and HIV. You can read a summary of their inspirational advocacy.

We’ll be following this year’s campaign and encourage everyone to share your activities and photos via your social media channels, including the PITCH Partners Facebook page, using the UN’s official hashtags #OrangeTheWorld and #GenerationEquality and #16days. Please email rvandenoever@aidsfonds.org with your planned activities and we’ll publish the highlights in the coming months.
