Aidsfonds together with partners in the Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV response and the Bridging the Gaps programme have launched a new report that examines the extent to which HIV-related issues are included in the Universal Periodic Review, a key process that reviews human rights records of all the UN countries.

The report looks at the inclusion of HIV-related issues into the two UPR cycles, completed between 2006 and 2017. The analysis focuses on the level of attention paid to HIV and AIDS; it maps trends and assesses achievements, gaps and challenges. The report also offers recommendations and information to help organisations working in the HIV response to engage with the UPR.
