Since 2016, a group of LGBTQI Kenyans have been challenging the laws that are used to criminalise and discriminate against them. Through a carefully orchestrated advocacy campaign, supported by PITCH, a hugely diverse LGBTQI+ community and its allies have united around the case – and attitudes in the media, the judiciary and the general public have shifted.
