PITCH at the largest AIDS conference in Africa
PITCH at the largest AIDS conference in Africa
During the upcoming ICASA conference in Kigali, Rwanda (2-7 December), PITCH will be hosting two exciting events. ICASA is an opportune moment for activists, health professionals and decision makers from around the world to reflect on the possibilities of taking forward the SRHR and HIV agenda in Africa and discuss the ways to challenge and dismantle dominant narratives which undermine SRHR.
Where SRHR is possible
On 5 December, a roundtable discussion “Where SRHR is possible – constructing new narratives for marginalised populations and young people living with HIV” will be kindly hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Kigali. The goal of the event is to present the positive impact of strategies used to deconstruct dominant negative narratives on SRHR and present the gaps and challenges young people living with HIV and marginalised communities face. Join us on Thursday 5 December at 8:00-9:30 a.m., the Netherlands Embassy, 2 KG 692 St, Kigali, Rwanda.
Put the last mile first
On 4 December, a satellite event “Put the last mile first – making UHC work for key and vulnerable populations” will address the opportunities and challenges key and vulnerable populations face in the context of universal health coverage. Speakers, including representatives of civil society organisations, the African Union, the Global Fund, and government will be discussing the meaningful engagement as a game changer in achieving UHC by 2030. Join us on Wednesday 4 December at 12:45-14:15 in Kigali Convention Centre, room MH3.
