This edition of the Aidsfonds newsletter is about economic empowerment. It is recognised that economic empowerment is an effective strategy for HIV prevention. In particular young women – for multiple reasons being extra vulnerable to HIV- benefit from better informed health choices if having a sustainable livelihood.
In this newsletter:
- A to the-point article about how economic empowerment tackles poverty, low self-esteem, risk behaviour and low uptake of health services
- “I knew they needed love to fight on.” Meet Evelyne Nambozo, an inspiring and dedicated Ugandan, recently started as coordinator of the new GUSO Flexi project
- Invest in Communities Now! Side event Aidsfonds at AIDS2018 and other activities
- Proud announcement of our new website
And much more not to be missed. Enjoy reading this newsletter!
