Hands Off programme longitudinal impact study Leeds University

In April 2021, a contract with the University of Leeds has been signed to conduct a longitudinal study on the impact of the Hands Off programme. The research team is ready to commence May 2021 with the first steps in this multi-year study, the selection of the specific research sites. The repeated cross-section design, using a survey tool, with semi-structured interviews to triangulate the findings of the quantitative data, will measure the impact of Hands Off on changes in the level of experienced violence and the number of new HIV infections in sex work communities over time in countries and locations where the Hands Off model is implemented.
