Declaration of Love
Love is special. A mother's love for her child, a man for his partner, a sister for her brother. All love must be protected against the consequences of HIV and AIDS. No matter who you are, where you live and who you love. Aidsfonds stands for love and has therefore drawn up the Declaration of Love.
Countless love is threatened by the consequences of HIV and AIDS. In addition, conservatism is increasing all over the world. That affects the AIDS response. People living with or vulnerable to HIV are being oppressed and excluded from prevention and HIV care. That is why we asked everyone in the Netherlands on World AIDS Day to stand up and sign the declaration. For love, and against discrimination, exclusion and conservatism.
Sigrid Kaag, Dutch minister for foreign trade and development cooperation and Princess Mabel van Oranje both signed the declaration of Love on World AIDS Day.
