The illustrations should reflect Aidsfonds’ characteristics and will be used on the renewed Aidsfonds website (Aidsfonds.org, that is currently being built) and optionally in other communication products, such as two-pagers and guidelines. The illustrations serve as an addition to our existing photography portfolio to create a wider variety in images. We work in sensitive settings and with people who are often in a vulnerable position due to the stigma and discrimination they face, and therefore would like to have the option to guarantee anonymity while still offering attractive content. The artwork is meant to be used for longer-term purposes. Topics for the illustrations are to be decided upon.

Deadline for submission is 30th of April 2023. Expressions of interest can be sent to Maureen Sellmeijer at msellmeijer@aidsfonds.nl. The subject line of the e-mail should read “EoI Illustrator Aidsfonds”.

Expressions of interest should include:

• Motivation why you are most suitable for the work
• Summary of relevant experience of illustration services and technical qualifications
• (Links to) your portfolio with samples of similar assignments you have successfully executed, including 1 or 2 samples of your choice as suggestions for a possible illustrative style for Aidsfonds
• Proposed rate and turnaround time per illustration
• Two relevant references

Selection will be made based on quality and relevance of portfolio, technical qualifications and rate. Kindly note that incomplete expressions of interest will not be considered. Professionals based in one of our focus countries or regions are specifically encouraged to apply.
