Aidsfonds at ICASA2023
Aidsfonds at ICASA2023
Aidsfonds is back at ICASA, the largest AIDS conference in Africa where innovation, community and political leadership take charge to create an AIDS-free Africa. Besides organising events that bring people together on topics, such as digital health and paediatric treatment, we support and bring together our in-country and regional partners and cheer them on as they present project successes.
Power the Shift! The Road to Community Leadership
It’s everywhere: shift the power. But in reality, communities still have limited access to resources and are only being brought to the table when invited. Only 2% of funding for HIV programmes targets key populations.
How do we truly walk the talk? How can communities drive policies and programming? A true power shift to communities is crucial to end AIDS by 2030 and to protect everyone’s rights along the way.
At ICASA2023, we are showing what the road to community leadership looks like. Visit our booth!

The International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA) is the largest conference on HIV/AIDS on the continent. This year's theme is: AIDS IS NOT OVER: Address inequalities, accelerate inclusion and innovation, and takes place from 4th to 9th of December 2023. ICASA brings together experts, researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to share knowledge, and experiences and come up with innovative solutions to address the challenges faced by the continent in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
