Today, 251 community and civil society organizations from around the world sent a letter to the European Commission.

We called on Commissioner Jozef Síkela and EU leadership to renew and increase their commitment to the fight against HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria by pledging €800 million to the Global Fund.

The European Commission has been a vital partner in this fight – from co-founding the Global Fund to stepping up with a €715M pledge during the COVID-19 crisis. That leadership saved lives. But the fight isn’t over. With aid cuts threatening hard-won gains, we need decisive leadership more than ever.

This is not just about global health. It’s about brighter futures, resilient societies, thriving communities, sustainable economies, and a safer world for all.

Today, we urge Jozef Síkela, Ursula von der Leyen, Hadja Lahbib and Marta Kos to stand with us again.
