Aidsfonds is back at ICASA, the largest AIDS conference in Africa where innovation, community and political leadership take charge to create an AIDS-free Africa. Besides organising events that bring people together on topics, such as digital health and paediatric treatment, we support and bring together our in-country and regional partners and cheer them on as they present project successes.

ICASA2023 illustrationPower the Shift! The Road to Community Leadership

It’s everywhere: shift the power. But in reality, communities still have limited access to resources and are only being brought to the table when invited. Only 2% of funding for HIV programmes targets key populations.

How do we truly walk the talk? How can communities drive policies and programming? A true power shift to communities is crucial to end AIDS by 2030 and to protect everyone’s rights along the way.

At ICASA2023, we are showing what the road to community leadership looks like. Visit our booth!
